By the early 1950’s we were also operating a successful auction business selling everything from antiques to livestock.

Having outgrown our original building, a decision was taken to re-locate the auction business to modern purpose-built premises, which were completed in 2002. The new auction rooms provide our clients with the conveniences of ample car parking, a spacious saleroom and a popular cafe restaurant.

The profile of the saleroom has risen dramatically in recent years with the appointment of Richard Edwards as senior valuer and auctioneer. Richard joined the firm in 2003 having previously been a specialist with Sotheby's and Doyle New York. He has increased the number and quality of the general sales and introduced eight specialist sales a year.
